Sustainable by Design: Turning Plastic Waste into Long-Lasting Outdoor Furniture

Sustainability isn’t an afterthought — it’s built into everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to manufacture the entire GeoMet range using a specialist, high-strength composite resin made from recycled plastic bottles.

This innovative material not only delivers outstanding durability and performance but also helps us tackle one of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges: plastic waste.

Each year, the production of our GeoMet products repurposes over 1 million plastic bottles, preventing them from ending up in landfill or polluting our oceans. It’s a small change with a big impact — transforming waste into beautiful, functional furniture that enhances outdoor spaces while helping protect the planet.

By choosing GeoMet, you’re not only investing in low-maintenance, weatherproof design — you’re also supporting a cleaner, greener future.

“The terrace looks amazing and has become a wonderful place for staff to go. GeoMet were great at working with us to create a bespoke solution: the colour was exact to our requirements and they created a clever solution to install each seat into a rooftop location.”

Westfield Health

“We always set ourselves very high standards for Chelsea and will only partner with top quality suppliers. Sui Generis’ furniture is composite moulded making it impact and scratch resistant and they have the know-how to manufacture pieces in any colour. We were really impressed; the team worked tirelessly to design and create outdoor furniture to our exact requirements. The finished items looked amazing: Sui Generis did a top job!”

A McIndoe

” I was looking for something very sculptural and was searching online for the ideal solution. I came across the GeoMet range and to me it was just what I was looking for. The seats were ‘stand out’, simple’ and ‘functional’. I specified the Bench seating in orange which happened to be bang on for the client, since unknown to me at the time this was going to be their new corporate brand colour. To add a touch of drama to the design it was decided to make the seating multi-use. The team at GeoMet were very flexible as I had a unique design I needed them to make. We needed to create a ‘W’ and ‘P’ for Wembley Park which could be used for various events at the arena. A series of ‘L’ shaped benches were created to be placed in the market square and to be re-modulated for use at the arena for other events.”

J McHugh, John McHugh Design

“I love these GeoMet cubes they’re really cool! They’re fun, colourful and tactile; I also really like the fact that they’re composite moulded – wood can be so harsh sometimes and not so comfortable to sit upon.”

Garden Designer, Charlie Bloom, RHS Flower Show, Hampton Court

“Halo is very pure and minimal, it’s understated yet alluring and it also blends into the landscape. The seating also provides the perfect functionality for the meditative pool – it offers a place of serenity, which is perfect to sit, relax and contemplate.”

Garden Designer, Mairis, RHS Flower Show, Hampton Court

“The rooftop terrace is an exposed site so we needed a furniture solution which would resist wind uplift and movement. The rooftop terrace has a timber deck, which meant that bolting the furniture to the floor wasn’t suitable. The team at GeoMet came up with the ideal solution which allowed each modular piece to be safely weighted, once placed in situ.”
