Our Sustainability Commitment

We appreciate that all life on earth is under threat of extinction and believe that reducing the harm to our planet is the greatest challenge we face. Find out what we’re doing to reduce our environmental impact.

Our aim is to be the UK’s most sustainable supplier of high-quality FRP composite products, and we are committed to reaching net-zero for our scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2030.

Our Purpose

To provide safe, affordable, sustainable, and attractive FRP products for business and consumer needs.

Saving over 1 million plastic bottles from landfill every single year

By switching to rPET resin made from recycled plastic bottles, Sui Generis has significantly reduced its environmental impact. In just one year, over 1-million plastic bottles are diverted from landfill or incineration and given a second life as high-performance, FRP composite products. This move not only supports a circular economy but also helps lower carbon emissions associated with virgin plastic production—demonstrating our commitment to responsible manufacturing and sustainable innovation.

Our values

Sustainability

We manage our businesses sustainably. We pay attention to the environmental impact of our activities and continually strive to minimise it. We make decisions that enable our businesses to thrive into the future, including financial stability and innovation to keep serving real needs. We serve the communities we operate in and contribute positively to them.

People

We recognise the necessity of profit for our businesses to survive for the long term, but we value people over profit. This means we respect our team, our customers, and other stakeholders as humans, and always seek to balance our human needs with financial ones. Family, community, and environment are real considerations for how we run our businesses, as are compassion and respect.

Integrity

We value integrity in all its guises. We do what we say we’re going to do. We’re fair to everyone we deal with – employees, customers, suppliers, community, and our industry – and operate from a deep sense of fair play. We do the right thing by our team and our clients rather than the easy or most profitable thing.

Enjoyment

We recognise that work is a significant part of our employees’ lives and create environments and cultures that are enjoyable to work in, and which aren’t oppressive or demeaning. We give those employees who want to grow real opportunities to do so.

Managing Director’s Sustainability Commitment

“As a proud family-owned business, we recognise that our people are the cornerstone of our success. We are committed to fostering a workplace where individuals, teams, and families can thrive, built on a culture of collaboration, fairness, and mutual respect.

We believe that strong, lasting relationships, whether with our employees, customers, or wider community, are built on transparency, trust, and genuine confidence. These values guide everything we do, helping us create meaningful connections that stand the test of time.

Sustainability is not just a goal; it’s a guiding principle. To us, acting sustainably means thinking long term, carefully considering the impact of every decision and action we take across our operations.

Our ambition is to ensure that our daily business activities contribute positively to our people, our community, and the environment. This involves the responsible use of resources, ongoing investment in better materials and processes, and an unwavering commitment to environmental improvement.”
