Our Health & Safety Commitment

Health and safety is embedded in every aspect of our operations. Trusted for Safety, Chosen for Quality

Our reputation for rigorous health and safety standards is one of the core reasons our customers continue to return to us, project after project. At Sui Generis, we understand that delivering high-quality composite products is only part of the job — the other part is ensuring every installation is carried out with the highest level of care, compliance, and attention to detail.

Our clients trust us not just for our craftsmanship, but for our professionalism and commitment to keeping their sites safe. From the moment we step on site to the final handover, health and safety is embedded into everything we do — from risk assessments and method statements to our fully trained operatives and ongoing safety audits. It’s this consistent, reliable approach that sets us apart and makes us a preferred partner across a wide range of industries.

Risk Management and Compliance

Every project is preceded by a thorough Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS), customised to the specific conditions of the site. Where applicable, this is supported by COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)assessments to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and resins.

Our commitment to compliance doesn’t end with paperwork. We conduct random site audits to monitor live activities and ensure that all safety procedures are strictly followed.

Equipment Safety

All tools and machinery used on-site are maintained to the highest standards:

  • Portable Electrical Equipment – Regularly PAT tested
  • Lifting Equipment – Subject to statutory thorough examination
  • Plant and Tools – Routinely serviced and maintained to prevent faults or failures

We ensure all equipment complies with current UK health and safety regulations and is suitable for the environment in which it will be used.

Working Safely in High-Risk Environments

Our uncompromising approach to health and safety is one of the key reasons we’re trusted to operate in high-risk, highly regulated environments.

We deliver this through:

  • Strict adherence to sector-specific regulations, including PSSR, CDM, and COSHH where applicable.
  • Highly trained personnel, certified for confined space entry, working at height, and hazardous environments.
  • Robust safety planning, including comprehensive Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for every project.

Our track record in these challenging sectors reflects our commitment to delivering safe, controlled, and fully compliant work on every site.
